Logging in to CustomerSource
This document
provides a step-by-step explanation of registering for a .NET Passport
(if you do not already have one) and using it to sign into the Microsoft
Business Solutions CustomerSource website.
Microsoft .NET
Passport is an online service that makes it possible for you to use a
single email address and password to sign in to any .NET
Passport-Participating web site or service.
Step 1.
Get a .NET Passport. If you already have a .NET Passport
with an email that you want to use for business (E.g.:
hotmail email account) set up, skip to Step 2. Otherwise, go to
http://register.passport.net/reg.srf?lc=1033&id=486&ru=http://www.passport.net/Consumer/default.asp?lc=1033.
Any email address can be used to get your .NET Passport. Complete the
creation of a Passport account, then close the browser window. This
will be the username and password you use to log into
CustomerSource in the future.
Note:
Registration will require you to type a secure code, as shown below. If
you can't make sense of the characters, click on the audio button to the
right of the picture to hear a different set of characters or click on
the blue arrows until you get a set you can easily read.

Step 2.
Forgot your password? If you have forgotten your Passport
password, go to
https://memberservicesnet.passport.NET/ppsecure/MSRV_ResetPW.srf?src=hotmail.com&lc=1033&cbid=486
to reset it.
Step 3.
Log into CustomerSource. Now that you have a
Passport account set up and you know your Passport account password, you
are ready to log in to CustomerSource. To do this, go to
https://mbs.microsoft.com/customersource.
Step 4.
Enter Passport account. You will be prompted to enter your .NET
passport account. Enter Passport username and password. This is the
Passport account that you want to use to log into CustomerSource.

Step 5.
Prompt for Security Key. The site will require you to
enter a .NET Passport security key. If you already have a security key
set up, you will not be prompted to create one, so you can skip to Step
7. If you have not yet set up your Security Key, you will be prompted
to set one up (see screenshot below). You will be prompted to enter a
new security key and retype it. You will also need to select and answer
three questions. These questions are used if the individual forgets
their security key in the future.

Step 6.
Re-enter Secret Questions. You are prompted with the same three
secret questions for verification. Upon successfully re-entering the
answers to these questions, the security key is attached to the .NET
Passport account

Step 7.
Enter Security Key. You will be prompted for your security
key. On this page, you are able to sign in with a different passport or
reset the security key.
After entering the
security key successfully, you may enter CustomerSource.

Step 8.
Enter MBS email account. You will be prompted to enter the email
address that you registered within the Microsoft Business Solutions
system. This may or may not be the same email address as your Passport
account. If you do not know the email address that is stored in the
Microsoft Business Solutions system, send an email to
voice@microsoft.com or contact your local support representative.
