Hung User
If
only one user is locked out, have another user in Great Plains go to
(Setup | System | User Activity) and delete the stuck user. If all users are locked, follow the
directions below.
MSQL
or MSDE
- On the Server: open Query Analyzer
(Programs>Microsoft SQL Server>Query Analyzer)
- Log into the Database as sa
- Change drop down database to Dynamics/Great
Plains
- In the query box, type delete activity
- Click Query Menu Title
- Move cursor to Execute and click right mouse button
- Close Query Analyzer
- Reopen Dynamics/Great Plains and
problem users should be able to log in

Pervasive
- Open the Windows Explorer
- Find the Dynamics folder on the server
- Open the System folder within the Dynamics folder
- Delete the Activity.btr file
- Reopen Dynamics and you should be able to log in

Ctree
- Open the Windows Explorer
- Find the Dynamics folder on the server
- Open the System folder within the Dynamics folder
- Delete Activity.idx and Activity.dat files
- Reopen Dynamics and you should be able to log in
